A Prayer for Family on January 31st
Oh Lord,
Today, I bring before You my family—the messy, beautiful, loud, and quiet moments of our lives. When we laugh too loud, when we argue over who left the dishes, when silence stretches out like a storm cloud, remind us that even in the chaos, You are here.
Forgive us when we’re too wrapped up in ourselves to notice the small acts of love another tries to offer. Help us see each other—not just as parents, siblings, or spouses—but as souls You knit together. Teach us to be tender in the ways that matter most.
Bless our home with warmth this winter, whether it’s the crackle of a fire, the steady drip of coffee, or the hush of snow on the windows. And Lord, when the world feels heavy, may our home be the quiet place where love isn’t just spoken but lived—messy, imperfect, but true.
Give us patience for the slow work of love. For the nights when we just want to escape, for the days when we feel invisible. And if all else fails, be our shelter.
In Jesus’ name, we rely on You.
